Geo Hypso (geohypso.com) is operated by a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye. This policy explains what we collect and why. Short version: as little as possible, no ads, no selling data.
Without an account: the app runs entirely in your browser. We record anonymous, aggregate usage events (e.g. "a session started on mobile", "an export was made", selected area size). These contain no location history of what you view, no identifiers, and no cookies.
With an account (Sign in with Google): we store your email address, name, and profile picture as provided by Google, a session cookie, your plan/entitlements, and the same usage events linked to your account. We never see your Google password.
When you purchase: payment is processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, which acts as the seller and handles card details, billing address, and tax data. We receive your purchase status, not your payment details.
No advertising, no tracking across other sites, no sale or sharing of personal data with third parties beyond the processors below, no location tracking of the places you explore.
Hosting, database, and analytics storage: Cloudflare. Authentication: Google (sign-in). Payments: Paddle. Map/terrain tiles are fetched by your browser directly from data providers (AWS Terrain Tiles, MapTiler, Esri); those requests carry your IP address, as any web request does, governed by those providers' policies.
Account data is kept while your account is active. Email hello@geohypso.com to access or delete your data; deletion removes your account, sessions, and entitlements (purchase records may be retained by Paddle as legally required). Under KVKK (Türkiye) and GDPR (EU) you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection — the same email is the contact for all requests.
